Our Mission: Ethical Animal Talent Coordination

Lina Montealegre is the founder of Fur Reel Talent and a Los Angeles based animal talent coordinator with years of experience working in the entertainment industry. But before any of that, she is an animal person. Always has been.

Her love for animals is not a brand position. It is the reason this platform exists. She has spent her career advocating for the animals she works with, making sure their welfare comes first before the booking, before the deadline, before anything else. That conviction followed her into every job she took and ultimately led her to build something of her own.

She built Fur Reel Talent because she kept seeing the same problem. Productions struggling to find qualified, verified animal talent. Handlers doing incredible work with no professional platform to represent them. And animals being placed in situations where their welfare was an afterthought. She decided to fix it.

Every decision made in building Fur Reel Talent started with one question: is this good for the animal? The verification system, the published standards, the no-commission model, the positive reinforcement requirement. All of it comes back to that question.

Lina shares her home with a household of rescued animals including Luna Lou, her Sheepadoodle, who is a daily reminder of why this work matters and who it is ultimately for.

Fur Reel Talent is not just a platform. It is what she believes the industry should have always been.
