Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know About Fur Reel Talent
For Productions
Q: "How do I find verified handlers and trained animal talent for my shoot?"
A: "Submit a production inquiry through our Production Inquiry page. We review your project details and connect you directly with verified handlers and trained animal talent that fit your specific needs within 24 hours."
Q: "How are handlers verified?"
A: "Every handler goes through our three-tier verification process before their profile goes live. Professional Trainers provide verified production credits, proof of positive reinforcement training methods, and a skills video for every animal. Owner-Handlers provide a skills video and one verified credit or reference. All tiers provide verified ID, a signed welfare agreement, proof of liability coverage, and current vet records."

For Handlers and Trainers
How do I apply to join the platform?
Visit our Join Our Roster page and select the path that fits your work. Professional Trainers, Owner-Handlers, and Animal Talent owners each have a separate verification path. Submit your application and we will be in touch within 48 hours.
What is the difference between Platinum, Gold, and Standard?
Platinum is for professional trainers and wranglers with verified production credits. Gold is for owner-handlers who work alongside their trained animals on set. Standard is for animal talent owners who want to submit their animal for production opportunities without handling on set. A verified handler from our roster is coordinated for all Standard set work.
Does Fur Reel Talent take a commission from my bookings?
No. Fur Reel Talent charges platform access fees only. We do not take a percentage of any handler rate, animal talent fee, or booking negotiated between you and a production.
How long does verification take?
Most verifications are completed within 3 to 5 business days of submitting all required documents.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Annual plans are billed once per year and are non-refundable after the first 30 days.
I am on the waitlist. Do I need to pay now?
No. Waitlist members receive free access for the first 90 days after the platform launches. You will be notified before billing begins.
What training methods are required?
All handlers and trainers on Fur Reel Talent must use positive reinforcement training methods. This is a non-negotiable requirement across all tiers and is verified during the application process.
Fur Reel Talent is an ethical animal talent marketplace. All work strictly adheres to welfare-first standards and exclusively utilizes positive reinforcement training methods to ensure the safety and well-being of every animal on set.
